He began his career as a journalist for Screen International, a magazine publication that covers movie industry news from around the world. he has over 25 television and movie credits as a writer and a producer, some of which are historical dramas. For instance, he wrote for The Last King which is an account of Charles II's reign on the throne and Rome which chronicles the lives of the Romans in the last days of the Republic.Part 1

It work it is not about the acuracy history,it´s about how you can make drama with it (the story)

You have an idea of how you make drama with the situations;
but you have to be careful with it because you can make the story ridiculous if you change many things of the real story.

The different is that many people know the stories of the ancient history but of the recent history may be not.

You can change parts of the story for make more interesting the movie but its depend about if you want to do a movie about the real stroy or not(like just ficcion).

ReplyDeleteBecause if you are using material of the last centuries you have to talked about things that actually happen because if not the number of people that were going to watched the film or the movie are not going to see it because they are going to know that the facts that are narrated in the story are false
2.the extent to which you can change the details when you are writing a historical drama
The extent you can change is nothing you can´t change the detail because the rating of the movie is going to get down because you are not honest of what you are producing in the movie.
3.the difference between writing a drama based in ancient history and one based on recent history
In ancient history you have to write with true facts, in recent history sometimes you can create the history and you can tell that is true when sometimes that is false
the writier's responsibility to be truthful to history
No matter what they have to be honest at any moment they are writting and producing a story

It would be very dangerous if you don´t tell the truth about some thing because you can ge in a lot of troubles because of this

2.- They have the right to create and change the drama as it works for them, so they can change details.
3.- With ancient history, they only have an idea from other books. With recent hystory they know the dates when all of that happened.
4.- Many poeple read waht they write. so they have to write ral facts.
5.- There are very few documents about the history of it, they don't know if the information that they have is real, and no one knows anything about it. No one knows what really happened, so they think that those facts really happened.
